White

“White” was in reaction to artists Dijkman/Osterholt who turned the gallery-space into public space by making a corridor. We closed this corridor to the public, tiled it and hung up dear skulls and fluorescent lights. “White“ refers to the original destination of the gallery-space, which used to be a butcher-shop, and the gallery-space as a white-cube in which the skulls are trophies, like paintings on the wall in a gallery

"White" was in reactie op kunstenaars Dijkman/Osterholt die de galerieruimte tot openbaar gebied hadden verklaard door er een tunnel in te bouwen. Wij hebben deze tunnel gesloten voor publiek, deze betegeld en er hertenschedeltjes en TL-verlichting in aangebracht.
White refereert naar de originele bestemming van het pand namelijk een slagerij en naar de galerieruimte als white-cube waarin de schedels trofeeën zijn als schilderijen in een galerie.
